Presenter: Wayne Black

Wayne Black is an author, public speaker, former law enforcement officer and internationally recognized security expert with more than forty-five years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. He is the founder of Wayne Black & Associates, Inc. For more than a decade, Mr. Black was the Security Advisor/Protection Detail Lead traveling internationally with former Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and the Rumsfeld Foundation.  Mr. Black has authored articles for The Federalist and appeared on numerous TV and radio shows regarding school shootings and national security.

Mr. Black routinely provides detailed threat assessments for schools, churches, synagogues, hospitals, and other facilities.  He has personally supervised protection details and special threat assignments in the United States, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America. As a contractor for the Department of Homeland Security after the events of 9/11, Mr. Black was selected to work on a classified “Red Team” conducting threat assessments at designated national security locations and events.  During the first Gulf War, he designed and managed an accelerated security clearance program for the US Department of Energy.

In this presentation, Mr. Black will address issues with protecting our children in schools.

Discussion will include: What are schools doing to keep our kids safe? What are states doing to ensure that our kids and grandkids are safe?

Why do school shootings continue to happen?  What can we do about it?    What is your role as a parent or a security professional?

Mr. Black's best selling book, School (IN)Security details how parents and grandparents can hold schools and school boards accountable.   His assessment checklist is included in the book, along with a wealth of information that will help you in controlling our children and grandchildren's safety.

Guests welcome to attend two free meetings per year.

Meeting both in-person and on Zoom.
